OK, I don’t want this to turn into a cheesy post about ‘doing our bit for society’.
Which is a bit tricky because as a business, and on an individual level, we do all care about various issues and causes. And we want to contribute in whatever way we can to helping them.
It also gives us a damn fine excuse to go a bit crazy in the office.
And so it was that on Halloween this year, after a tremendous effort, a group of grown adults donned a fantastical array of outlandish outfits, all in the name of charity. The imagination and attention to detail was ridiculous. The energy and enthusiasm was off the scale. As was the willingness to donate.
We chose two charities from a list of suggestions put forward by the teams, and ended up with two deserving causes – The Darel Brown Foundation, supporting brain tumour research, and Lilacs Little Legs. Find out about and give to each here.
On the day, we raised a total of £924, and still rising, a fantastic result from a team of around 30 people all in.
Here’s a collection of some of the best pics of the day, and congratulations to the team from Xplore Pharma (part of the Source Group) who won the fancy dress comp with their eerie Willy Wonka and Oompa Loompas!
